Coda Rosé 2015

75%  cabernet franc, 25% petit verdot

coda rosé, n. a. A rubato Coda, stealing early from the vintage, b. Summer in a bottle.

The color is crystal clear pale salmon, as I stole the juice off the skins less than 30 minutes after crush.  On the nose there is blood orange, red raspberry, powdered sugar and a whiff of fresh cut field.  It is summertime in the glass, in one long inhale.  The palate flavors echo the nose and are driven by a nice cut of energetic acidity and saline texture courtesy of the Cabernet Franc.  The finish is long, textured, supple and bone dry.  This pairs perfectly with summer.
