50% petit verdot, 50% cabernet franc
coda rosé, n. a. A rubato Coda, stealing early from the vintage, b. Summer in a bottle.
2020 wasn’t the coolest of vintages, but I’ve been refining my Rosé technique and the results are far too entirely quaffable! The wine is pale salmon – a beautiful Atlantic salmon, perhaps (is this too much detail?) The nose is intensely filled with lemon blossom, strawberry, watermelon and chalk. The palate is bright and energetic, bursting with intense berries, an impression of tannins and mouthwatering acidity (6.8 g/l, 3.05 pH.) This is delicious wine suitable for many hearty dishes up to paella!
